About Help
BCCP provides complete documentation for the Web Data System in an accessible HTML-based help system. The help system includes information on all the Web Data System's capabilities and features.
In addition to the help system, BCCP provides a complete Web-based tutorial that covers how to use the key features of the Web Data System. To access the Web-based training, go to the BCCP Web site: www.healthoregon.org/bcc.
Using the Help window
The Help window has two panels
Contents
The left panel of the Help window lists the contents of the help system. The contents contains links to all the topics in the help system. To view the help for a topic in the contents, click the link in the table. Use the scroll bar to scroll up and down the contents list.
Topics
The right panel of the Help window displays the main body of the selected topic.
Navigation buttons
The Help window has Navigation buttons on the top and bottom of the right panel on every page.
- Click < or > to move back or forward one page in the help system. You can also use your browser's Back and Forward buttons to move through the system.
- Click Index to view the help system's index. The index contains keyword entries followed by links to topics where the entry is discussed. At the topic of the index are letters of the alphabet. Click a letter in the alphabet. Entries for that letter appear below the alphabet. If there is more than one entry for a topic, it is followed by a numbered link for each occurrence of the entry in Help. Click the topic or one of the numbers following the topic name to display an index entry.
- With the pages of the help system are links to other topics. Click these links to jump to the related topics.
Web Browser Requirements
The help system uses JavaScript to display topics. If you can't view or navigate in topics, make sure that your Web browser meets these minimum requirements.
To view Help properly:
- Use Internet Explorer 5.0 and later.
- Set your browser to Allow Active Content.
- Make JavaScript active.
- Set your browser to always accept cookies.
- If you experience problems with your browser, trying use Internet Explorer.
- If your browser runs out of memory, increase the browser's preferred memory size.
- If the text is hard to read because it is too small, increase the browser's default font size.
- To use a different font for the help text, change your browser's default font.
